Multani mitti (also called Fuller's Earth) is a natural clay rich in minerals. It has long been used in skincare because it absorbs excess oil, removes surface impurities, and leaves the skin feeling refreshed.

Benefits

How to use it

For a basic face pack:

• Mix 12 tablespoons of multani mitti with enough water or rose water to make a smooth paste.
• Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eyes and lips.
• Leave it on for about 1015 minutes, or until it is mostly dry.
• Rinse with lukewarm water and apply a moisturizer afterward.

Choose the mix based on your skin type

• Oily skin: Multani mitti + rose water.
• Normal/combination skin: Multani mitti + plain water or yogurt.
• Dry skin: Multani mitti + honey, milk, or aloe vera gel to reduce dryness.

Precautions

• Avoid using it every day. 12 times a week is usually enough.
• If you have dry or sensitive skin, don't let the mask become completely hard and flaky, as this can increase dryness.
• Do a patch test before first use, especially if you have sensitive skin.
• If you have eczema, rosacea, or irritated skin, it's best to consult a dermatologist before using it.
