About Eucalyptus Oil

Cosmetic-grade eucalyptus oil is eucalyptus essential oil intended for use in personal care and beauty products such as:

• Soaps
• Creams and lotions
• Shampoos
• Hair oils
• Bath products
• Massage oils (when properly diluted)

It is typically for external use only and should meet cosmetic-quality standards. The most common variety is derived from Eucalyptus globulus.

When buying cosmetic-grade eucalyptus oil, look for:

• 100% pure essential oil (if that's what your formulation requires)
• Cosmetic-grade or personal-care grade labeling
• A Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) if you're manufacturing products
• Packaging in amber or dark glass bottles to help protect the oil

For skin application, eucalyptus oil should generally be diluted before use, as undiluted essential oil may irritate the skin.
